Is it the first time you have played in Ibiza and at the Hippy Market and what does it mean to you playing in Ibiza and especially at the Hippy Market?
We played our first show at The Hippy Market two years ago and loved it! It’s lovely to play in such vibrant, cultural surroundings with such happy, open-minded people. The market itself is beautiful. So much to see and do.
How would you describe the atmosphere in the Hippy Market?
The atmosphere is amazing. We played to a sea of smiling, happy faces. So many people loving life and embracing the Balearic vibes. Good times!
Are you inspired by the hippie music of the 60ies/70ies?
Yes! We especially love the music of Bob Marley and the reggae pioneers of the 60s and 70s. You can feel these influences in everything we do, from our message, to our sound, to our look.
What does the word hippie mean to you nowadays?
Hippy is a state of mind. It’s about moving away from the trials and tribulations of modern life and enjoying the many wonders of our beautiful world. Don’t stress, don’t conform; just be happy and enjoy yourself. We’re on a mission to spread the hippy message to the four corners of the globe!

BOA is a half british-half spanish musician and vocalist who lives between Ibiza and Madrid. She is a fresh and funny, whilst daring, musician with a wide range of styles that vary from soul to hip hop, funk and electro. She has worked with Eddy Chin (Eurythmics) and recently colaborates with New Game.

Ricoloop – One man jam
Rico creates musical compositions using many different instruments and objects, including guitar, bass, keyboard, melodica, harmonica, and glass bottles, along with his voice (singing and mouth percussion, or beat-boxing). He plays and records a segment of music, which then repeats continuously. He can then play another segment of music and layer it on top of the previous one. With each layer the composition becomes more complex. This is a new technique of live-producing, teaching the audience how music is compiled and arranged, and exploring how rhythms and melodies interact. Rico’s passion is to convey images and emotions through his music.

The group Ibosim was formed in Ibiza gathering musicians from different nationalities and the gypsy ethnie. Its members have a long history of working in various national and international line-ups. Together they decide to make a band to play various musical styles such as flamenco, jazz and Latin music, offering a range of different styles like tango, boleros and latin jazz. Always remembering the essence of flamenco.
